Epson - Photo Paper Tests

Quality Tests - 2006

Epson Stylus Photo R1800 printer

Epson 2100 Tests

Uses UltraChrome inks also used in the 2200, 4000, 7600 & 9600

Epson R1800 Tests

Same inks as the Epson Stylus Photo R800

Epson 1290 Tests

Same inks as the 790, 870, 875DC, 890, 895, 900, 915, 1270, 1280

Each inkset produces different results - the Epson 1290 inks T007 and T009 are dye based inks while the inks in both the R1800 and Stylus Photo 2100 are pigment based and best suited to matt photo papers.

All the inksets listed are used in several printers, so although I only test with three Epson printers, lots of others use the same inks, and will give virtually identical results. This is especially true of the Epson Stylus Photo 1290 inks which are used in many Epson printers. I’ve tried to list most above but the most common cartridge numbers are T007, T008 and T009.
