In a different league from ACR and DPP in terms of ease of use, Capture One was the first really good RAW file processor to actually use joined up thinking when it came to workflow. They obviously realised that most people will have more than one picture to process, and most people won’t want to adjust color, sharpening, tonal curves etc in one program only to have to it all again when you get the file into Photoshop. . That’s not to say that Capture One’s that simple to use - you have to learn your way around, but when you have, the options available and the speed at which you can work makes both ACR and DPP seem like products of the DOS era. The more you use Capture One the more you’ll like it.
