Once again it’s fairly easy to place ACDSee last - Although there is a fair amount of detail there, results look mushy and soft, but sharpening brings out a rash of white spots. Adobe Camera RAW seems better but has the same problem with both black and white spots this time so comes second last. Canon Digital Photo professional is much better and produces a good clean straight edge and high levels of detail but has high noise levels even with the noise reduction turned on. Of the top three Capture One has the highest noise levels - especially colour noise - even with it’s auto noise reduction on - but it’s pretty good overall. So, once again the top two are RawShooter and Bibble. Which is best at 1600? I’d say RawShooter again. Bibble is a close second and as all the results at this ISO use noise reduction, it would be possible to vary the amount of noise reduction in each to match the other. Except for one case - The 100% clip I’ve used for RawShooter here has the noise reduction turned up enough that the results is almost noiseless. It has far less detail in the background because of this, but where RawShooter is unique here, is that it can do this and it’s sharp.
