This tab covers ACR’s weakest area - Sharpening and noise reduction. My advice would be to turn all of this off. The sharpening - even at it’s default value of 25 - is quite aggressive and not a patch on doing it properly in Photoshop itself. The noise reduction does work but isn’t nearly as good as any seperate noise reduction package - I use Neat Image’s Photoshop plug in. On the plus side all the adjustments do update the preview image but all of this can be done much better elsewhere.

The other tabs for lens, curve and calibrate are very good but again others do it better. Both PTlens and DxO handle the lens corrections better and are easier to use.
